CREW KC is managed by a Board of Directors that works together to set and accomplish the Chapter’s strategic goals—helping to advance the success of women in commercial real estate. Serving on the CREW KC Board of Directors is a unique opportunity for leadership and networking among other ambitious men and women working in the commercial real estate field.

All CREW KC Board members, directors, and committee chairs serve individual terms of one year.

President - Darcey Schumacher

Darcey Schumacher, PE, LEED AP BD+C began her career at Wallace over 18 years ago. Named a principal of the firm in 2016, she leads and manages Kansas City employees, projects, business development and talent recruitment. Darcey has worked on a variety of projects across the country and strives to balance the client's budget and design intent with the contractor's project timeline and available resources. Her passions range from managing complex projects to implementing culture-boosting initiatives to advocating for industry women to seek career parity. Darcey has formed strong relationships with diverse professionals across the AEC industry and played a large role in the successful endowment of a WiDKC scholarship for the empowerment of women.

Darcey currently serves on the CREW KC Board and on the National Council of Structural Engineers Association – Structural Engineering Equity and Engagement Committee. She is Past President of the Kansas City Architectural Foundation and is currently a member of the Structural Engineering Association of Kansas and Missouri, the American Institute of Steel Construction, National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, an affiliate member of American Institute of Architects, and was named 2017 ENR Midwest and National 20 Under 40 award winner.

President-Elect - Moira Holland

Moira Holland is the Director of Business Development for A.L. Huber General Contractor. She has over 30 years of business development experience in the AEC industry, with 21 years in Kansas City. Moira has extensive experience in developing new relationships and markets and leveraging key relationships to build project teams to meet client needs. She is passionate about the CREW mission of advancing women, and always looks to CREW KC members first as partners on projects. 

Moira has previously served as Secretary and Mentorship Director on the CREW KC Board, as well as numerous committees. She is Past Chapter President of DBIA MAR, and served on the Board of Directors of Kansas City Area Healthcare Engineers. In addition to serving industry organizations, Moira is on the Children’s Mercy Health Cancer Center Auxiliary Board and the Newhouse Shelter Board.
