Legend has it that in 1889, pizza was created in Naples, Italy, for Queen Margherita of Savoy. True Neapolitan pizza has a distinct flavor, simple ingredients and is baked in a wood-fired oven. 1889 Pizza Napolentana has a fun and interactive restaurant located just outside the border of Westwood, KS.
The owners of 1889 Pizza Napoletana will provide first hand instruction on making your own personalized pizza. Once completed, these pizza's will go into their copper-clad oven at a temperature in excess of 1,000 degrees, making the crust deliciously soft and chewy with a little char of the outside.
David Waters (Partner/Lathrop & Gage) will provide insight to the growing trends in Westwood and the surrounding areas (both commercial and residential). David is an elected official himself, serving on the City Council for Westwood, Kansas. Prior to that, he served on the Westwood Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals, and on the 47th and Mission Road Area Redevelopment and Management Committee in the Kansas City area.
We hope you can attend this fun and interactive social event. There will also be an opportunity to network with other CREW KC members during this event.
